DIY Lash Growth Serum

DIY Lash Growth Serum

There is no denying it, long lashes are probably one of the most sought after looks for women. Sure, falsies are a quick fix but can be rather uncomfy for those who aren’t used to it, and can fall out just as fast, especially when you have a tendency to rub your eyes. And since not all of us are blessed with naturally lush lashes, thank goodness there is always the alternative of using a lash growth serum.

Now the thing with commercialized products is that A. they tend to be expensive, and although they do yield pretty good results, B. they tend to have harsh chemicals, some of which have been known to darken the skin around your eyes, darken your pupils even, and cause redness as well. Not so pretty.

So an even better alternative? A homemade safe and natural solution. This DIY lash growth serum will thicken and lengthen your lashes, although probably not as quickly as the ones you can get at your department store but is without those harsh side effects and the hefty price tag as well.

What You Need:

  • 1 tablespoon Castor Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 2 Vitamin E Capsules
  • 1 Empty Mascara Tube

What To Do:

One of the best things about this DIY Lash Growth Serum is the simplicity of it all. Gathering all the ingredients is probably the hardest part. So let’s get right to it.

First, make sure you have a clean, dry, empty mascara tube. If you don’t, any other small glass container with a lid will suffice. Then gather the rest of your ingredients. Take one tablespoon of castor oil and mix it well with one tablespoon of coconut oil. Next, take a needle and prick your vitamin E capsules. Squeeze out the good stuff. Mix until everything is blended together. Move your homemade serum into your empty mascara tube (use a funnel to do so) or container of choice. And you are done.

How To Apply:

After you have washed your face, pat it dry. Then use a clean mascara wand to apply your DIY lash growth serum. Trace the lash line. You want to make sure you get the roots. Then apply a second coat as you would apply mascara. Wait two minutes before you continue on with the rest of your night time beauty routine.

Do this every night before you sleep and you should start to see visible results in about 2 months.
