A good skincare routine consists of three main steps that should be done on a daily basis- cleanse, protect, and moisturize. Now under cleanse, we have deep cleanse. This, on the other hand, should only be done 1-2 times a week, not more than that. We’re referring to exfoliating. You need to exfoliate your skin, (give it a deep cleanse as mentioned earlier) to help slough off those dead skin cells to make room for new ones, younger ones, to grow. This will not only leave you with softer and smoother skin, but it will also help even out your tone and leave you with a vibrant glow. Do it more than twice a week and you could be left with irritated, damaged skin. ONCE or TWICE is really NICE—no more than that.
So here is a super simple yet effective Himalayan Face Scrub recipe that you can easily whip up right at your kitchen. Very minimal effort required to get maximum skincare results. Interested? Ingredients and instructions are below.
What You Need:
- Himalayan Salt
- Olive Oil
- Argan Oil/Tamanu Oil/Rosehip Oil (basically any oil of your choice)
- Mason Jar (or anything with a tight lid)
What To Do:
When it comes to DIY, the simpler, the better seems to be true at times, especially for those who are strapped for time. So with this three-ingredient recipe, the hardest part would be gathering all the things you need. Once you have everything ready, all you really have to do is mix it up, seal it tight, and you are done.
First, measure your salt. Then your olive oil.
Ratio is 2:1
So 1 cup of Himalayan Salt : ½ cup of Olive Oil and so on.
It really depends on how much of this you want to make. But let’s just go with that already. Mix the two in your mason jar then add about 5-7 drops of oil. Mix again. Seal tight and you are done.
