When it comes to skincare, Jessica Alba is the very epitome of a gorgeous, healthy glow. What makes Alba one of our favorite beauty gurus is that aside from her just being downright beautiful, of course, she is all for going the more natural route. Remeber when we covered her personal face scrub recipe made from coconut oil, yogurt, and ground coffee?
Or how about the time that she went on Ellen and showed us all how to make a kick-ass smoothie?
Well, speaking of smoothies, instead of Jessica’s own creation, here is a recipe that she got from Kelly LeVeque. And who is this Kelly LeVeque you may ask? Well, Jess has the answer.
“My go-to nutritional guru is Kelly LeVeque. So I always turn to her for advice.”
According to Kelly LeVeque, there are a couple of key ingredients that you should add to your smoothie to help you get that gorgeous glow.
- Omega 3 Fatty Acids – for complexion hydration
- B Vitamins – for overall healthy skin
- Trace Minerals – to protect, repair, and increase skin cell regeneration
So you can easily add these to your favorite smoothie or you can go ahead and make Kelly LeVeque’s Spa Smoothie: Jessica Alba’s Go To Glow Drink. Recipe below!
What You Need:
- 1/4 Avocado
- 2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds (the perfect omega 3 fatty acid!)
- 1 Cucumber (small)
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Mint Leaves
- 1 Handful of Spinach
- 1 Lemon (just the juice)
- 1 Scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder
- 2 Cups of Unsweetened Nut Milk
What To Do:
Basically, you want to get all your ingredients ready. So peel what needs to be peeled (cucumber) and squeeze what needs to be squeezed (lemon). Then just simply dump everything into your blender and whiz away until you have a nice, smooth consistency. Pour it out and drink it up.
