Sharon Stone’s Stay Young Diet And Exercise

Sharon Stone's Stay Young Diet When it comes to aging gracefully, Sharon Stone has definitely got it right. Imagine, born in 1958, she doesn’t even look a day over 40, to say the very least. At 5 foot 8 and weighing only 145 pounds, this Hollywood star has got the skin, the structure, the silhouette that women her age ad even women years younger than her dream of.

Her secret lies in her stay young diet and shed the pounds exercise routine. Interested? Let’s go ahead and see what this celeb has up her anti aging sleeve.

Sharon’s Stay Young Diet:

Sharon says that you have to avoid carbs and fat, give more prominence to veggies and fruits, and increase the consumption of proteins. It is also important to control the quantities. Thus you retain your muscle mass and especially the most important muscle of the body, the heart.

When it comes to her turn back the clock, rejuvenating diet, here is her checklist that she keeps for the kitchen.

She must have a variety of food. This kind of diet is actually really good for you because it makes sure that you get all of the nutrients, vitamins, fats, carbs, minerals- basically all the good stuff that your body needs.

Lean Meat. Lean meat is great for your body’s metabolism, which pretty much means it’s great for keeping the unwanted pounds away, and even getting rid them altogether. But more than just for whittling your waistline, lean meat also helps retain energy, which is great for when you’re working out, plus it even gives your immune system a good boost too.

  • According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), lean meat is any serving of meat (3 ounces – about the size of a deck of cards) with less than 10 grams total fat, 4.5 grams saturated fat and 95 milligrams cholesterol.

4-5 eggs a week. Eggs, well their whites anyway, are probably one of the best natural sources of protein. And when it comes to anti aging, the power of protein is that it actually helps produce collagen. So you can have supple, sag free skin. Hey, look at Sharon.

Fish rich in Omega-3. Omega-3 is good for your heart, reduces cellular inflammation, reduces the risk of cognitive disease that you get with age, such as Alzheimer’s, plus  has even been proven to improve the quality of your sleep.

Olive oil. This stuff has great antioxidant properties (anti aging properties), it too is a good source of Omega-3 and even Omega-6, and is a rich in Vitamins A, D, K, and most importantly, Vitamin E.

Water, even more than the recommended 8 glasses a day. The fountain of youth itself. Not only does it keep your body and skin hydrated, but it does a good job of flushing out those unwanted toxins too. Plus, it is the absolute best drink to pair with any diet.

However, Stone does enjoy soft drinks now and then, but never more than a glass a day.

Less salt, more spices. Too much salt is bad for your health, think kidney problems and high blood pressure, and bad for your waistline too. So less is definitely better. As for the spices, various kinds, including herbs and all, have various anti aging benefits.

Sweets every now and then, usually honey, jam, or even a little chocolate. After all, everyone needs a little treat. Plus, as long as the chocolate is dark and taken in moderation, the flavanoids that are found in it actually act as amazing antioxidants.

And the best? Easy cooking- I’m talking about microwave easy. But grilled, steamed, and boiled food still apply.

Sharon’s Shed The Pounds Exercise:

To keep her amazing figure, Sharon Stone, with her personal trainer, does power plate exercises right at her home at twice a week when she wants to get toned or shed a couple of pounds.

Power plate is basically a vibrating exercise platform of sorts that may, well, vibrate up and down at around 25-50 vibrations per second causing involuntary reflex muscle contractions as opposed to the normal 2-3 times a second when exercising without it. It’s like exercising on hyper drive. So it’s like your minimizing your effort (to make things clear, I’m not saying that it is any less of a workout- still some pretty hard stuff!) while maximizing your results.

It works, I’m finally satisfied.

Other celebrities that swear by this machine are Madonna, Jonathan Ross, Donatella Versace, Claudia Schiffer, and Natalie Imbruglia.
