But instead of running out to the store to grab one off the shelves, why not check the ones you have right at home first?
Here are three great “creams” right out of your cupboard. Now when I say right out, I mean right out. Not exactly homemade recipes(since you won’t have to mix anything at all), but more like homemade remedies.
So let’s go ahead get right to them.
When it comes to firming and tightening, honey definitely takes the top spot.
Tried and tested, pure, raw honey has been used for years. You see, honey is jam packed with vitamins, minerals, and even amino acids making it one of the sweetest natural beauty products there is- literally and figuratively.
What To Do:
First you want to get a damp warm towel. Put it over your face and neck. Leave for about 3-5 minutes. This is done to open up the pores (and to help you relax at the same time.)
Once your pores and relatively open, get about two tablespoons of honey and spread evenly over your face and neck. Leave for about 15-20 minutes.
Get rid of the honey and wash off with cool, if not cold (which is much better) water. This will help close those pores that you earlier opened up and cold water itself is yet another skin firming secret on its own.
Egg whites are a close second- plus, having eggs at home is way more common that having pure honey. They are pretty much a staple at any kitchen after all.
But aside from that, egg whites are popular for skin firming simply because of the protein that they heave. This protein gives your skin’s elasticity a big boost.
What To Do:
Okay, first of all, you want to crack open a raw egg and separate the yolk from the white. Don’t throw away the yolk though, you can use it to whip up something tasty later on.
Once you have just your egg whites, you want to give it a good beating.
Spread the beaten egg white on your clean face and neck evenly. Leave for about 10 minutes.
Rinse off with cool water.
Pat dry- always pat dry!
Yogurt is not only healthy to eat since it is full of Vitamin D, probiotics, calcium, and even protein, but it also does wonders when applied directly on your skin too.
It moisturizes, fights acne, fixes discoloration, relieves sunburn, and yes, helps tone and firm too- now that is a pretty long list for just one product.
What To Do:
Get some fresh plain yogurt and apply evenly on you face and neck (clean and dry of course).
Let it sit for a good 10-15 minutes.
The simply rinse off with cool water.
Once again, PAT DRY.
